Gabi joined the Trust as HR Manager in September 2022.

 

Originally from Poland, Gabi came to the UK in 2006 to continue her education. She graduated from University of Leeds with a Masters Degree in Linguistics and English Language Teaching.

 

Following a brief period a of teaching Linguistics to undergraduate students, Gabi decided to change her career path and started volunteering at an HR department for a supported living charity. She secured her first HR job in 2012 and completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resources Management at Leeds Beckett University. Gabi worked for a number of private sector organisations before moving to education in 2019.  Gabi is passionate about raising the awareness of mental health issues and was previously a Mental Health First Aider.

 

Gabi is a Chartered Member of CIPD and enjoys sharing best practice and learning from others. Gabi is also a governor in her local primary and secondary schools. She has particular interest in special educational needs and pupil/staff welfare.

 

Outside of work Gabi enjoys travelling and spending time with her family and friends.
