David joined the White Rose Academies Trust in January 2019 as Operations Manager across Leeds West Academy and Leeds East Academy, working closely with the Academy Business Manager and Senior Leadership Teams.  He managed and co-ordinated the Admin and Site departments to secure operational excellence and successfully facilitated the school’s response to COVID-19.

In the summer of 2021, David was promoted to Business Manager at Leeds City Academy and Alder Tree Primary Academy. In this role, David provides strategic business and financial leadership of the two academies and management of the £12 million budget. Working closely with both Principals, David leads on the transformation of the operational provisions across the schools ensuring consistently high quality and standards in key services areas such as finance, estates, catering, cleaning, and administration.

In his role as Business Manager, David has worked closely with the Principal at Leeds City Academy to secure funding of £10.7m to fund an expansion project to enable the academy to increase the PAN to 210, and funding of £1m to improve the heating infrastructure of the academy. 

​

Outside of work, David is a father of four boys who keep himself and his wife very busy. He also enjoys playing sports with his family and friends and volunteering with his church.
