Meg Flaherty
Meg is thrilled to be a part of the Trust’s Executive Team, bringing a unique blend of experience in education, performing arts, and leadership. With nearly 20 years in the Performing Arts, Meg has developed a deep expertise in Dance and Drama, having competed nationally and performed on world stages, including the prestigious Edinburgh Festival Fringe with productions of Oliver! and West Side Story.
A graduate of Stage 84, the Yorkshire School of Performing Arts, Meg holds Grade 8 Trinity LAMDA certifications in Contemporary Dance, Ballroom & Latin, Group Drama, and Speech & Drama. She also served as Captain of the Medusa Dance Company for five years, collaborating with international organisations such as the Tong Len Charity in India, which fostered her passion for using dance as a tool for positive change both locally and globally.
In addition to her arts background, Meg founded Origin GJJ, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and self-defense company, where she earned her Pink Belt and became a certified Women Empowered Instructor. She completed her training at the renowned Gracie University in Los Angeles with distinction.
In her spare time, Meg loves nothing more than travelling the world and growing her passion for Film & Theatre.
